This Cookie Policy explains how HeyPao ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies. The HeyPao iOS app itself does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. This policy primarily covers our website at pao-app.com and the limited, essential storage the app uses to function.
1. What we use
- Essential app storage — the app stores small amounts of data on your device (such as your sign-in session and your display preferences like theme and units) so the app works and remembers your settings. This is required for the app to function and cannot be turned off.
- Website cookies — our marketing website may set strictly necessary cookies needed to serve the pages. We do not use the website to build advertising profiles.
- Service providers — we rely on Google Firebase for authentication and data storage. Firebase may set its own necessary identifiers to keep your session secure. See Google's privacy documentation for details.
2. What we do not do
We do not use cookies or device identifiers to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your data or share it with advertising networks.
3. Your choices & consent
Because HeyPao only uses strictly necessary and functional storage, no advertising-consent banner is required to use the app. You can manage or block cookies set by our website at any time using your browser's settings. You can clear the app's stored data by signing out or deleting the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete My Account) or by contacting us.
4. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date.
